SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE, 16/8/2005
Brisbane based mobile communications specialist Technisyst has been named one of the most promising private technology companies in the Asia Pacific region by global technology magazine Red Herring following a year of multi-million dollar deals.
Red Herring is viewed internationally as a vanguard for technology executives and started in 1993 in Californias Silicon Valley the height and the heart of the Technology boom, it now has offices in Paris, London, New York and Beijing.
The Asia Pacific Top 100 list was drawn from over 500 entries and judges were looking for a combination of innovation and financial success.
Considering Technisysts year to date, the companys inclusion in the list is hardly surprising.
In May it won the Melbourne SmartBus contract, initially worth over $7m, to supply its Intelligent Transport System (ITS), RAPID, across four key bus routes, including 135 on-street displays and traffic light priority at 63 intersections. The system has been designed to accommodate over 3000 vehicles covering the entire public transport fleet in Melbourne.
More recently, Technisyst has entered into a reseller agreement with Telstra which will see the communications giant promote Technisyst products and services to Australias Public Safety, ITS and Mobile Worker markets utilizing its CDMA network infrastructure.
In June Technisyst signed an exclusive partnership deal with global company Mobitex Technology to supply mission critical data communications to the $2.4billion US Public Safety market. The companies have already been in talks with the Department of Homeland Security, Police, Fire and Ambulance Agencies.
General manager sales and marketing Mark Migallo said they were currently completing deals across the globe worth over $20m.
2005 has been a great year for us and to be recognised by a leading international technology title is the icing on the cake. Of course we have worked hard to achieve our success and will continue to develop our range of products, Mr Migallo said.
