Technisyst Data mining supplements RAPID reports for RTPI and priority data with the ability to cross link data from other sources allowing that unrivalled views of  all aspects of a transit company operation to be presented to management and contracting authorities in a range of useful forms.

The data mining tool is fed by a data dump from various systems each night. The data is stored and then is made available to authorised users in different views. The systems can include:

• Ticketing (from the Wayfarer, ERG or other ETM or farebox systems such as GenFi or Cubic ) *
• Service schedule (from Austrics or IPTUS) *
• Vehicle location (from RAPID) *
• General Ledger
• Human Resource and Payroll
• Maintenance
• Purchasing/stores
• Incidents/breakdowns/accidents
• Driver revenue management,
• Fuel, and
• Others

The more sources of data that you have the more value is obtained from the system. Those marked with an asterisk ( * ) would provide the maximum benefit to contracting Authorities with the other data sets providing additional data to the individual bus companies.

Typical of the views that can be obtained would be to answer management questions such as:

• What drivers always started a service late?
• Show me graphically the delays for a service across the past week or across the past month
• Which buses spend more time in maintenance?
• What is the on-time running performance by route
• Is the performance on this route on Tuesdays always the same?
• Where are ticket sales/validation events by location?
