TC-Gateway

Technisyst’s carrier grade message switch (TC Gateway) provides the communications link from the RAPID ITS system to all of the remote components. By keeping the communications separate for the applications the TC-Gateway improves reliability and allows you to send data with confidence and to take advantage of the range of available networks.

Private RF Networks

Private digital networks like the Mobitex network can be set up to cover an entire city and to deliver priority data with service level guarantees.

Public Digital

CDMA, GPRS and 3G are all commercial networks providing built in infrastructure and highly competitive pricing. These networks are normally scaled to user densities giving effective coverage over the entire operating area and additional capacity in central city areas.

Voice

Voice support is available in parallel to data using GSM, CDMA, 3G or private radio.

Private Radio

Total control of your own infrastructure with the familiarity that only a private radio brings.

Broad band Networks

Excellent for fixed sites and many mobile applications you can own your own or connect using a commercial offering. Either way is seamless to the servers by using the TC-Gateway.

Ethernet

Where an existing WAN is available it makes sense to use this wherever possible. After the initial connection the data to your signs is fast and free.

Multi Network or Mix and Match

Within the one city wide solution Technisyst RAPID allows you use more than one network or to mix and match your communications systems.

Put your school buses on a CDMA 1xRtt network, your route buses on 3G and your signs on GPRS to get the best features from each system. It is easy and transparent. If you have additional signs that can be linked over an existing WAN – no problems just connect them in and the gateway takes care of the rest.
