Technisyst’s Real Time Displays inform waiting passengers how long it will be until a bus arrives. The signs can take a variety of forms including 2, 4 and 6 line LED displays both single and double sided as well as LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and large monitor displays.

At high patronage bus stops displays may be a four line LED display mounted on a pole. For lower patronage stops the displays may be smaller personal displays.

Technisyst provides the intelligence within the sign and standardises the application between signs as much as possible whilst working with quality sign manufacturers for the LED components and Housings.

To assist visually-impaired persons, each sign type can announce the displayed information by a loudspeaker built into the sign. This announcement is initiated by pushing a button mounted below the sign or a panel within the sign.

Signs support fixed and proportional fonts, horizontal and vertical scrolling. Multiple routes can be displayed as well as fixed and free text messages making these an essential. When combined with Technisyst’s advertising server the passenger information can even become self supporting.

Signs can be connected using Ethernet, RS232 or wirelessly using GPRS, CDMA, 3G, Mobitex or PMR as appropriate for each city. Each sign reports its health to the central system where ii is automatically monitored for performance failures. Even small variations in performance are monitored against the norm allowing maintenance activities to be initiated before a hard failure and improving availability to your passengers.
