Integration Options

The M5 Sunview Mobile Data Computer can be used in a variety of wireless environments. Radio modems and base station controllers are available from a variety of manufacturers. Technisyst units and the selected data modems and/or radios are installed in vehicles, and a compatible radio backbone system is installed at fixed sites. ADT Wireless, Vodafone, Telstra and Optus provide wireless radio network access to the general public in Australia. These networks are also available in New Zealand, USA and Europe.

The M5 Sunview Mobile Data Computer is compatible with GPRS, Mobitex, DataTac, CDMA, CDPD, GSM, Trunk Radio and DataRadio.

Options:

There are several options that can be added to the basic unit:

• Magnetic Stripe Reader
  Mounted either on the dash or on the display unit, the mag-stripe option enables automated entry of information encoded on driver's license cards.
• Video Capture Board
  Installed in the Processor Unit, the Video Capture Board allows capture and display of full-motion video, mug-shot capture (and transmission to another car for display).
• Fingerprint Capture
  Mounted in a removable bracket, the compact fingerprint capture module allows for digitisation of fingerprints in the field and transmission to the station for identification.
• GPS/AVL
  Global Positioning System and Automatic Vehicle Location functionality can be incorporated and is available through Technisyst and our partners.
